I went in to the Gecko Hair Design in Camden Town salon this week to have my hair done by Kelly. When i walked in the first thing she said to me was how lovely my hair was and in such great condition for someone who has such long hair... wanted to go darker so the bleach could come out and just have a semi perm colour in there going forward that conditions your hair etc.. after about 30 mins, we agreed on colours etc as i kept on stating i was worried about a new hairdresser doing my colour, david got involved to reassure me it was going to look amazing, so off we went.. i was going darker with a few different blonde in the top to make it looked sunkissed.
We started to do my hair and from when i sat down i started to think how unprofessional both seems, just too relaxed in front of me and the other person in the salon.. hair was done and than wasshed out... she blowed dried my hair and as she was drying it she kept saying how lovely it was, i kept looking at it thinking it looked green, like a ashy green but thought it must be the light and foolishly didn't say anything, paid, which was a joke as nealy another £60 pound more than stated when i called.. i wasn't happy with the price esp when i kept thinking i don't like my hair.. something isn't right with it.. I was sensible and thought wait till the morning and see it in natural day light.. i got up and all i can say is i cried for other an hour.. my hair was actually green.
I called Gecko Hair Design and spoke to Kelly who said to come back in that night and she would put a toner on it. Didn't want anything more on it ie colours as this shouldn't happened and could see my hair looked dryer from when i went it.. i than called David who i can honestly say is the worse manager i have every spoken too i was crying on the phone to him and i feel he didn’t give a monkeys what had happened in his salon.. I than went into Gecko Hair Design after work and was amazed at this lack of care.. I walked in and he ignored me finally after Kelly asking him twice to come over and look at my hair, he did and said that isn’t green!!! My hair is clearly green I than said “Well what colour would you call it David” he is so rude he didn’t even answer me but told Kelly to take me down the back so other customers couldn’t hear my arugment.
Kelly advised me it would come out and go home and wash it in head and shoulders.. what she did state is unbelievable – she said this happens to them alot...!!! i have been going to the hairdressers for 15 years and never has my hair gone green or anyshade near it.
I was given a refund – a fight with david for it and left the salon. Refund is one thing but now i am walking about with a cap on until my hair fades apparently 6 weeks.
